Introduction to RidingTotal Control ITR®The Total Control Introduction to Riding (TC ITR) is designed for a student with zero riding experience that wants to explore any riding option. It is approximately 4 hours with 2 classroom hours and 2 on the vehicle riding hours. This clinic covers riding either traditional 2-wheel motorcycles or a 3-wheel riding vehicle such as the CanAm Ryker. This is an exceptionally unique opportunity for a student to explore either a 2- or 3-wheel vehicle in one riding clinic. Classroom topics include the risks of riding, fear, riding jargon, controls and basic operation of a riding vehicle, and basic riding gear. There are 4-on-the-vehicle training exercises that cover topics such as getting underway, straight line riding, stopping and an introduction to direct steering. Graduates of the course are expected to be able to make an informed decision about whether or not to pursue riding as a hobby. Graduates should also have a good understanding of which type of vehicle they wish to pursue. The next step in the training path for the graduate will be either the Total Control Beginner Riding Clinic for additional 2-wheel training or the Total Control Three Wheel Riding Clinic for additional 3-wheel training. |
